HI!
MY Name is Eyht. I'm A Producer, Drummer and Visual Artist based in Vienna. I Make Electronic Music with the main GOAL of creating interesting and versatile musical and visual concepts.
I started drumming at the age of 14 and soon after joined my first local punk band that was searching for a drummer at the time. We rehearsed a lot, and I got the opportunity to experience live shows and recording sessions at a pretty young age, which was the best thing for me. When the bands I joined during this time broke apart, I wasn't sure what I was going to do next. So, I went to Vienna to study jazz drums. I was addicted to this instrument and just wanted to play. After two years in Vienna, I also started producing and writing music for myself. I had always been intrigued by electronic music because I loved listening to it, even though I had never had a deeper introduction to it. So, I started producing and fell right into it. After earning my Bachelor's degree in drums, I began collaborating with my friends and started releasing my own music, which led me to create my solo project "Eyht."
I released my first EP together with the amazing singer-songwriter Filiah and continued releasing more and more tracks. In 2022, things started to come together with my second big interest: art. I figured out that I could combine these two passions and create more of an audiovisual experience for my music. With my EP "I WOULD NEVER LEAVE YOU," released in 2023, I made artworks and animated sequences for every track. I was so hyped about this that I released a second EP shortly after, called "OCCURRENCE," which was an even bigger project. My sound was changing at this time to an even more electronic style, inspired by greats like Skrillex, Flume, Zomboy, and Boys Noize. I animated characters and whole worlds to match my vision of the sound.
After the release of "OCCURRENCE," I created a live show with just me, my drums, synthesizers, programmed lights, and my computer, and played my first solo show in Vienna. I had played in so many venues before with other artists as a drummer, and I always dreamt of playing my own music in front of people.
